Roberto Bonilla

Director of Vision

Roberto served as the coordinator of our medical team the day we started Second Wind. Roberto has provided vision and strategy to our foundation from the beginning and is in charge of delivering 875 pounds of food to our families every month. Roberto grew up in Honduras, then his family immigrated to the US when he was 7. When he was 29, through a miraculous set of events, God led Roberto to walk back to his home country and experience a string of miracles along the way.

Scarlett Martinez

Sewing Program Leader

Scarlett serves with several ministries in Honduras - we are grateful she has time to serve with Second Wind! She has also enjoyed working as a host and translator by visiting with families and churches who partner with Compassion International. Known for her deep heart for people and gift of healing, Scarlett thinks our sewing program has stretched her. She has done an amazing job of caring for the women in our program by listening to them and reading the Bible with them.

Cristyan Coello

Sewing Program Leader

Cristyan has dealt with many difficult things in life and has maintained a positive attitude and strong faith in the Lord. He has also worked for Compassion for thirteen years teaching and tutoring at-risk teenagers in various communities. His heart for youth extends to his nephew who he mentors. We are grateful for Cristyan's many talents - including directing our sewing program and helping with our construction projects. When he's not working, he is an avid trail biker and enjoys working out.

Agustin Aguilar

Agriculture Manager

Agustin is an optometrist who is full of passion, fun, and has a deep love for God and his family. Agustin and his brother, Armando, recently inherited some land and desire to use it to plant all kinds of fruits and vegetables, raise animals, and be the home for Second Wind's future coffee farm! Agustin also builds homes in his 'spare' time. Agustin embodies the words of Acts 20:35, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Armando Aguilar

Artisan Shop and Cafe Manager

Armando is also an optometrist in addition to being an amazingly talented wood carver. We feature Armando and his friends' artisan work on our Etsy site. He deeply loves God, his family, and his country. He truly believes that providing jobs for Hondurans gives them a reason to stay instead of migrating to other countries. For this reason, Armando enjoys sharing his skills with others.

John has provided strategic direction, insight, and vision into some fairly complex problems we have faced during the past three years.

Rebecca is a single mom of five and business owner with all kinds of irons in the fire. She owns, "Heard to Word Services", which provides Real Time captioning and transcripts for business meetings and college students. She also loves day trading. Dave has spent most of his life talking and writing. He spent several years as an announcer and talk show host on political and sports topics at a radio network in Washington DC. He is an avid sports enthusiast and can be caught supporting all sports teams in the DC area. Currently an editor for an investment resource company, we are grateful he re-writes our monthly newsletters, shares marketing insights, and provides levity on every subject under the sun. Dave lives with his family and their dog in Rockville, Maryland.

Jackie Doyel

Jackie has spent most of her life talking to people, including several years as a radio talk show host and producer. She has worked for Chick-fil-A for twenty years on the Operator selection team and at a local Chick-fil-A as the Director of Culture and People.
